A couple months ago Lucas randomly said, “We should turn Tennyson into a live Elf on the Shelf.” We had a good laugh about where we would put him around the house and strategies of how to hold him so it would look like he was sitting alone. We’re not usually big on Halloween costumes, but thought it would be easy to create an elf costume and we could use it both for pictures and for Halloween so we did it!
While walking through grocery stores recently, two different strangers told me Tennyson looked like a doll or elf because of his bright white skin, round face, and big eyes. I guess he was destined to be a live Elf on the Shelf!
I will admit it took me longer to make the felt bib and hat than I expected. It has been years since I’ve actively made crafty things and I’m rusty!
Don’t worry, we turned off the fridge before setting him on the shelf. In fact, I actually forgot to turn it back on afterwards… oops.
2019 Christmas Card
I usually mail Christmas cards out right after Thanksgiving. Not this year. I had the prints shipped to CA because they wouldn’t arrive in Portland before we had to drive to CA to see family. I think I mailed the out to friends/family on December 24th. Better late than never, right?
Plus some random Christmas photos because… they have to go somewhere!
