I love community events. Fundraisers, dinners, expos, galleries, festivals, you name it and I’m there! This last weekend Clear Horizons Academy (an incredible school for autistic children) held a fundraiser at The Shops at Riverwoods (an outdoor mall here in Provo). “Chalk the Block” is a fundraiser where parking spaces are purchased by a sponsor and filled by an artist. Some spaces were sponsored by companies while others were purchased by artists and some looked like a family bought the space and let their kids draw in it : ) Lucas and I enjoyed it all. It is extremely impressive what chalk can do to dress up a parking slot. Temporary works of art between two white lines.
The perfect escape for a short night out.
Also, I’m not very tall, so I struggled to get pictures without cutting the corners off of the art. You’ll see in a moment.
