Nearly all of the Jones family traditions regarding Christmas happen on Christmas Eve. So this year Lucas and I spent Christmas Eve with the Jones family (Placerville, CA) and Christmas Day with the Brook family (Lotus, CA).
Julia (my unofficially adopted older sister) and her family joined us (as usual) for a delicious dinner. Then we proceeded to a tradition which was started last year. Mini marshmallow fight. Last year someone got shot in the eye (which turned out to be uncomfortable) so this year my mom bought a bunch of huge dollar store glasses for protection. This brilliant change proved to be more amusing and safe. Most of us used pieces of pvc pipe as blow dart guns but JeNelle found some mini mallow bow ‘n arrow deals at Bed, Bath & Beyond for the little kids.
I wish I could announce a winner but I don’t think we had one. Just one large mallow mess : )
Little Joe kept saying, “Cami come hide wid me!”
Unfortunately after several tries, this is the best group photo we could get haha oh well…
