Recently we (us and some friends) decided we should go to seattle for a weekend trip. After an early morning 3 hour drive, the first stop in the city was Pike’s Place for some fish and chips.
There are flowers EVERYWHERE at Pike’s Place! Also, they are way cheaper than I expected. If we weren’t walking around the city all day I would have bought a bundle of these amazing peonies. Maybe next time : )
Flying fish!
Meet Kelsey and Evan : ) Adventuring in the city with them was the best!
Also, this peach was a top 3 highlight of the trip for me. Seriously, it was amazing and I regret not going back for more.
This is gross, but as tourists we had to do it.
I asked them to smile with doughnuts in their mouth and they did! Such great friends.
Top Pot is said to be the “Voodoo Doughnuts of Seattle.” This place is far cleaner and new than Voodoo and has less of a selection. I’m not a doughnut critique so I can’t really say which place is better. All I know is that I’d take Krispy Kreme over either place any day. When we first got in line to ride the ferris wheel, it had just rained and the sky looked like this. We decided to visit a few other places and come back to the ride. The sky cleared up beautifully by the time we got back!
The long line to get on the ferris wheel and pricey ticket were worth it for this view. Also the clouds cleared just in time for us to actually see the view!
We were told by several people to visit the Space Needle, so we did. However, we were satisfied with the ferris wheel view of the city so we just admired the Space Needle from the ground : )
This is the outside of the Experience Music Project Museum. This building is SO cool. I can only imagine how great the museum inside is. Next time we visit we’re going to go!
It was really difficult to get on top of this statue so I had to include a picture of it.
Cheap seats are the best seats!
